New Water Pipeline and Mid‑Day Meal Scheme Unveiled in Purulia

In a separate ceremony at Manbazar, Purulia, the chief minister inaugurated a drinking‑water pipeline project funded with assistance from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The initiative aims to deliver safe water to remote villages, enhancing public health and agricultural productivity. Alongside the water project, the government announced the Integrated Scheme for Nutritional Canteen Operations (ISCON) will soon commence midday meals in all government schools across Purulia, providing two egg servings per week and creating jobs for local women.
