Punjab Police Nets Three Wanted Bambiha Gang Members After Malaysia Deportation

A joint effort between Punjab’s Counter‑Intelligence Wing and central law‑enforcement agencies resulted in the deportation of three high‑profile fugitives associated with the Dawinder Bambiha criminal network. The men—Jaspreet Singh alias Jas Behbal, Ajay Singh and Pawandeep Singh—were flown out of Malaysia and immediately detained at Indira Gandhi International Airport. Authorities allege they participated in murder, extortion, unlawful possession of explosives and a coordinated grenade attack in Ludhiana that intelligence reports tied to the ISI of Pakistan. Following the arrests, the trio was escorted back to Punjab for further questioning. The DGP reiterated the department’s commitment to dismantling organized crime rings that operate across borders.
