Eligibility, Age Limit and Fees for Punjab‑Haryana High Court Recruitment

The Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, has released detailed eligibility criteria for its latest recruitment of 25 drivers and 31 peons. Candidates must apply online between August 28 and September 18, 2026.

**Driver eligibility** - Minimum education: 12th grade with Punjabi or Hindi as a subject. - Valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) licence. - At least two years of driving experience. - Category distribution: 21 general, 3 SC/ST/BC, 1 ex‑serviceman.

**Peon eligibility** - Proficiency in Hindi and the regional language of the court. - Category distribution: 26 general, 3 SC/ST/BC, 2 ex‑servicemen.

**Age limit** - Upper age limit: 35 years as on September 18, 2026. - Age relaxation as per government rules for SC/ST/BC and other reserved categories.

**Application fee structure** - *Drivers*: INR 1,000 for general and SC/ST/BC candidates from states other than Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh; INR 800 for candidates from the three territories and for ex‑servicemen. - *Peons*: INR 700 for general and SC/ST/BC candidates from outside the three territories; INR 600 for candidates from Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and for ex‑servicemen.

All applicants must upload scanned copies of their educational certificates, driving licence, and experience letters, and must pay the fee through the secure online payment gateway. Failure to meet any eligibility condition will result in disqualification.
