CM Bhagwant Mann also highlighted recent achievements in education, noting that Punjab has overtaken Kerala to become the top‑performing state in school results, with 882 government‑school students clearing the NEET exam. The chief minister praised the government’s transparent recruitment drive that has already placed 69,094 candidates in public jobs, reducing the trend of youth migration abroad. In addition, Mann met the participants of the Sher‑e‑Punjab T20 tournament, underscoring the state’s commitment to nurturing sporting talent across six teams that will compete from August 30 to September 13 at Mohali’s PCA Stadium.
