Public Stands With PM Modi, Says Ramkripal Yadav

Patna, October 25: Bihar minister Ramkripal Yadav has made a series of sharp remarks against the opposition, while also urging the INDI alliance to call off its planned pre-Diwali rally. He said the rally could cause avoidable hardship for traders in the busy festive season.

According to Yadav, traders around Connaught Place and the Ramlila Maidan area, both small and large, depend on the market for their daily income. With Diwali, Chhath and several other festivals approaching, he said, businesspeople would face difficulties because of the rally.

He added that no large turnout was expected at the rally, yet the inconvenience it could bring to traders was reason enough to postpone it. He said the protest should be put off so that the problems of business communities can be solved.

Turning to the opposition's 'Jan Mahabhiyog' campaign against the Chief Election Commissioner, Yadav said the opposition should be allowed to speak as it wishes. He asserted that the Election Commission had performed all its duties in accordance with the Constitution and that the campaign would not change anything.

Yadav also accused Rahul Gandhi and his party of trying to create a state of anarchy in the country and of seeking to enhance their own image, which he said was not in the national interest. He alleged that they were behaving like traitors and appeared to be working alongside anti-national elements. He further claimed that they were acting at the behest of foreign forces, aiming to destabilise the country, remove the central government and bring about a change of power. He said this dream would never be fulfilled.

He concluded by saying that the public stood with PM Modi earlier, stands with him today and will continue to stand with him in the future.
