Bhopal is set to host an extraordinary public open house at Raj Bhavan, the Governor’s official residence, coinciding with Republic Day celebrations. From January 25 through 27, under Governor Mangubhai Patel’s instructions, Lok Bhavan will welcome citizens to explore its historic premises, lush landscapes, and elaborate Republic Day adornments.
This three-day event is designed to bring the public closer to the symbols of democracy. Key attractions include captivating exhibitions: one on ‘Raj Bhavan to Lok Bhavan’ evolution by state and central communication teams, offering insights into Madhya Pradesh’s gubernatorial legacy from inception to present, enriched with short documentaries on video walls.
Principal Secretary Dr. Navneet Mohan Kothari emphasized the event’s significance. ‘Visit Raj Bhavan to feel the pulse of democracy and honor our constitutional heritage,’ he appealed. It’s a vital step in enhancing public engagement with administration, building mutual trust and collaborative spirit.
Practical details ensure smooth visits: gates open 2 PM to 8 PM (11 AM to 2 PM on Jan 26). Park at Kushabhau Thakre complex, enter Gate 1, proceed via Secretariat, VIP Road, glass gate to main campus—viewing Golden Jubilee Hall, Durbar Hall, flag area, Civil Dispensary exhibitions on central schemes like Vande Bharat and VB-G Ramji, Sandeepani Hall fountains with films, temple vicinity, exiting Gate 4.
These displays aren’t just visual treats; they’re educational portals into nation-building.
