Priyank Kharge’s Resignation Demand Sparks Outcry Amid Vet and Police Test Irregularities

New Delhi, August 3 – Tensions have surged in Karnataka after allegations of misconduct in the state’s veterinary college entrance exam and police recruitment selection. BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi seized on a controversial remark by Priyank Kharge, urging that any call for his resignation must first be proven by a 25‑day hunger strike and the endurance of baton charges.

Trivedi argued that the Congress, which has often touted its dedication to student welfare, is now revealing an indifferent and provocative attitude toward those affected by the alleged irregularities. He noted that the party’s national leadership has previously championed student causes during the NEET debate, but the current scenario in Karnataka contradicts those claims.

Labeling Kharge’s comments as a direct insult to aspirants, Trivedi called for a thorough and unbiased probe into the examination processes. He demanded that those found guilty be subjected to the toughest possible disciplinary measures, emphasizing that no student should face such injustice again.

The MP concluded by urging students to discern the real motives of political entities that invoke student issues merely as a vote‑bank strategy, and to hold them accountable for any misconduct.
