Principal of Utkramit Higher Secondary School Nabbed in Corruption Probe

The Bihar Vigilance Investigation Bureau recorded its 76th case of corruption in 2026 by apprehending the principal of Utkramit Higher Secondary School, Chainpur. The official had allegedly demanded ₹400 from each of 152 students for issuing their marksheets and school leaving certificates, amounting to a total of ₹50,000. After the complaint was verified, a First Information Report was lodged and a special raid team, led by Sub‑Inspector Vindhyachal Prasad, executed the operation. The principal was caught red‑handed, the entire bribe amount was confiscated, and further inquiry is underway.
