Press Media Photographers Association of Goa Hosts Exhibition

The Press Media Photographers Association of Goa (PMPA) organised a vibrant photo exhibition on World Photography Day, featuring works from amateur and professional shooters alike. The showcase highlighted themes of tradition, tourism, and the state’s infrastructural makeover.

Attendees explored galleries that presented striking images of coastal life, heritage monuments, and newly constructed highways. The association also ran a competition where participants submitted entries that reflected innovation, cultural identity, and environmental awareness.

Judges selected winners based on originality, technical skill, and relevance to Goa’s contemporary narrative. The chief minister, Pramod Sawant, praised the association’s effort to provide a platform for visual artists and emphasized the importance of preserving the state’s evolving story through photographs.

The event concluded with prize distribution, a vote of thanks from the association’s coordinator, and an invitation to future participants to continue documenting Goa’s journey.
