Ranchi BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdev dismisses vote‑list allegations

In Ranchi, BJP chief spokesperson Pratul Shahdev addressed the controversy surrounding the Maharashtra draft electoral roll. He reaffirmed that the Supplementary Electoral Roll is a lawful exercise authorized by the Constitution and managed by the Election Commission. Shahdev pointed out that similar accusations were previously raised in Bihar, yet the number of formal objections filed remained minimal.

He questioned the motives behind the repeated allegations, suggesting that a few individuals refusing to sign the enumeration form could not account for the massive deletion of names alleged by the opposition.

Shahdev concluded that the SER process will continue to function as intended, ensuring the integrity of voter records.
