Pramod Krishnam Says Modi Will Return for Fourth Term

Ghaziabad, October 31: Acharya Pramod Krishnam on Saturday likened the present political battle to the Mahabharata, declaring that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, like Arjun, would break all the chakravyuhs laid before him. He said the oath ceremony for Modi's fourth term in 2029 would be heard across the country.

Speaking to the media, Krishnam said that the opposition, under Rahul Gandhi's leadership, represented the entire Kaurav clan and its factions. He accused them of joining hands to attack the Prime Minister and of underestimating him as Abhimanyu.

Krishnam urged the gathered Kauravs and their great warriors to understand that Modi is not Abhimanyu. 'He is Arjun,' he said. 'Prime Minister Modi will break all the chakravyuhs, and in 2029 this oath will echo: I, Narendra Modi, take oath as the Prime Minister of India for the fourth time.'

He also aimed his criticism at Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, saying he had reached a point where he deserved pity. Krishnam said Kharge had lost all his spark, adding that a used cartridge and burnt-out ash could never explode.

The statement came in the middle of a political row over Kharge's controversial remark about Prime Minister Modi during a programme in Patna.

Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury came out in support of the party chief, describing the uproar as an attempt to make a mountain out of a molehill. He said Kharge's words were figurative and linked to local colloquial usage.

Chowdhury said the remark meant that a person even more powerful than Prime Minister Modi could be defeated. He called it a local idiom that had been used in a figurative sense.
