Political Tensions Rise as SP Leader's Speech Triggers BJP Response

In Lucknow, a BJP legislator confronted Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav over remarks made at a Brahmin summit. Nand Kishor Gurjar labeled the SP’s commentary as an affront to Brahmin honor, noting that historical incidents show a pattern of contempt toward priests and cultural icons. He argued that the sanctity of Brahmins is integral to Indian ethos and that any ridicule is unacceptable to the electorate.

Gurjar further criticized the SP’s approach to law‑and‑order issues, particularly the handling of high‑profile criminal cases such as that of Vikas Dubey.
