Political Stalwarts Honor Grand Old Man Dada Bhai Nauroji’s Legacy

On September 4, political figures from New Delhi to the hills of Uttarakhand gathered virtually to salute Dada Bhai Nauroji, often hailed as the "Grand Old Man" of Indian politics. Central minister Nitin Gadkari’s brief X post referred to the day as an occasion for "humble reverence" toward the veteran freedom fighter.

Uttarakhand’s chief minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, recalled Nauroji’s role as a crusader for education and social reform, insisting that his contributions continue to fuel national awakening.

Deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya of Uttar Pradesh praised Nauroji’s critique of colonial fiscal policies and his vision for an economically independent India.

Other party representatives, including Bihar minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, legislator Mukesh Sharma and senior BJP leader Bhagwan Das Sabnani, echoed the sentiment, highlighting Nauroji’s lifelong dedication to liberty, learning and service.
