Political rally in Rayachur highlights claims of fund misallocation by Congress

At a BJP‑organized rally in Rayachur, Karnataka, MLA B.Y. Vijayendra presented a series of accusations against the Congress administration. He said that the government demanded payments from farmers before designating their fields as drought‑affected, a practice he labelled outright corruption.

Vijayendra also pointed to the alleged misappropriation of ₹187 crore from the Mahashri Valmiki Scheduled Tribe Development Corporation, claiming the money was siphoned into unrelated projects. He warned that such financial irregularities undermine development initiatives for tribal and Dalit populations.

The speech concluded with a reminder of welfare schemes launched during the previous BJP government, such as the Bhragy Lakshmi education programme, 108 ambulance services, and paved roads in Dalit settlements, urging citizens to vote for a return to those policies.
