Political Parties Discuss Youth Protests and Educational Reforms

In the aftermath of a series of student protests that started at Jantar Mantar, leaders from several parties convened to address the growing unrest and the broader education agenda. Samajwadi Party spokesperson Fakhrul Hassan Chand emphasized that the demonstrations were driven by concerns over the "Gen‑J" and "Gen‑Alpha" generations and the overall quality of India's education system.

CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka affirmed that the meeting with Akhlash Yadav was purely ceremonial, with no political bargaining on the table. He reiterated the party's support for peaceful protest and called for constructive dialogue on curriculum reform and skill development.

CPI(M) secretary M. A. Baby warned that the government's failure to honor an earlier deal to withdraw fabricated cases against student activists has eroded public trust. He urged the Supreme Court to intervene and direct the withdrawal of all such cases, framing the issue as a test of democratic accountability.
