Political Overtones Mar Religious Event as Akhilesh Yadav Talks Governance

The Samajwadi Party chief's speech in Ayodhya included remarks about the state’s chief minister and the upcoming electoral contest, prompting Mahant Raju Das to accuse him of politicising a sacred occasion. Das maintained that any political figure attending a religious program should respect the sanctity of the occasion and keep the focus on spiritual teachings.

He warned that using religious platforms for party propaganda undermines the purpose of such gatherings, where the emphasis should be on devotion, not on campaign promises.
