Political leaders clash over Yamuna clean‑up promises in Delhi

During the same Hathi Ghat event, BJP state president and Union Minister Harsh Vardhan Malhotra joined the clean‑up and launched a scathing critique of the former Aam Aadmi Party administration. Malhotra accused the previous government of making empty promises on Yamuna sanitation while receiving nearly ₹ 2,900 crore from the centre without presenting a concrete action plan. He claimed the current 33‑kilometre stretch of the river passing through Delhi is now backed by a solid strategy under CM Rekha Gupta.
