Political Leaders Call for Better Living Conditions for Ailing Lalu Prasad
Senior members of the Rashtriya Janata Dal and allied political figures have appealed for a healthier environment for former chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is currently under medical supervision. Shakti Yadav, the party’s chief spokesperson, said that the leader’s long‑standing health issues require a setting that minimizes stress and pollution.
The spokesperson recounted that after an episode of discomfort, Lalu Prasad was taken to Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, where he underwent a full diagnostic work‑up and was kept under observation. The hospital provided a dedicated chamber equipped with necessary facilities to match his medical needs.
According to Shakti Yadav, the earlier decision to vacate the leader’s allocated accommodation was driven by political directives, even though the leader is legally entitled to it. The current residence, he claimed, does not meet basic health standards, forcing even visitors to navigate through foul air.
He reiterated Lalu Prasad’s unwavering commitment to his ideological principles, secularism, and social justice, noting that despite physical hardships, the leader remains steadfast. The spokesperson expressed confidence that, with continued professional care, the veteran politician will soon resume his regular political engagements.
