Policy Boosts MSME Participation in Indian Missile Supply Chain

A key objective of the new directive is to involve micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the missile manufacturing value chain.

Components such as electronic modules, specialized alloys, sensors and ancillary hardware will now be sourced from domestic SMEs that satisfy quality certifications.

This inclusive approach is expected to generate thousands of jobs, stimulate indigenous component design and reduce the cost of imported parts.

Analysts note that a vibrant MSME sector can act as an innovation hub, feeding cutting‑edge ideas back into the larger defence ecosystem.
