Police seize illegal .32 pistol while detaining wanted killer in Hisar

In a precision operation carried out by the Haryana STF’s Hisar unit, officers arrested a most‑wanted murder suspect and confiscated an illegal .32‑bore pistol together with three live cartridges. The individual was wanted for the murder of Sanjay Verma, the proprietor of the "New Wearwell" showroom in Abohar, Punjab.

The arrest took place under a bridge on Rajgarh Road, Hisar, after a tip‑off that aligned with a reward of INR 5 lakh offered by Punjab police. The seized weapon triggered a separate case under the Arms Act, registered at Azaad Nagar police station.

After being produced before the court, the accused was remanded for two days for detailed interrogation. Investigators are now focusing on his alleged linkages with organized crime networks and potential involvement in other pending investigations.

The operation was spearheaded by DCP Jogendra and SI Sandeep Sharma, with PSI Vinod Kumar confirming that further forensic and intelligence work is underway to build a comprehensive case against the suspect.
