Police Seize Documents in Chennai as Part of Private School Corruption Case

In a coordinated sweep, Chennai police from the Central Crime Branch entered two locations tied to former minister Anbil Mahesh Pooyamozhi. The raid is linked to a broader scandal where private school administrators allegedly paid bribes to secure statutory approvals.

The operation comes after PD Arakkumar was taken into judicial custody. Investigators are now examining financial transactions, communications and other records to determine if additional officials or intermediaries were involved in the scheme.
