Police intervene as rival biker groups block traffic and fight in Parel, several injured

The checkpoint on Dr. B.A. Road became the focal point of a dispute when a large group of motorcyclists deliberately stalled their bikes, creating a traffic jam. Their use of loud horns and illegal silencers attracted the attention of law‑enforcement officials who attempted to disperse the crowd. As officers issued warnings, the atmosphere grew tense and chanting began on both sides. Soon, about thirty to forty additional youths arrived from nearby localities, intensifying the confrontation. The clash involved the use of flagpoles as weapons, resulting in injuries to several bystanders and to police officers who were trying to separate the warring parties.
