Police Intervene as Private College Construction Sparks Clash with B.L. Anglo Sanskrit High School
Greater Noida’s Dankaur police zone witnessed a sharp escalation on October 7 after a private college began building work on a parcel that the B.L. Anglo Sanskrit High School Association Inter College contends is part of its historic campus.
The school’s management promptly labeled the site as its own property and voiced strong opposition to the construction. Within a short span, a number of students from the institution gathered at the location and dismantled the temporary boundary wall erected for the new structure.
Rapid response teams of the local police, along with the PRV, arrived on the scene and restored order. Officers instructed both parties to cease any activity on the disputed land and to keep the situation unchanged until the legal dispute is resolved.
Authorities disclosed that two individuals from the neighboring village of Navada allegedly bought the land and inaugurated construction on the same day, apparently unaware of an ongoing case before Sub‑Divisional Magistrate Dadarri regarding ownership.
Manoj Goyal, manager of the school, emphasized that the college building, situated at survey numbers 1702‑1705, was constructed before 1948 and received official acknowledgment from the then Uttar Pradesh government. He asserted that the school has been functioning continuously for over 70 years.
Goyal cited a 1992 court order (case 1154) that affirmed the school’s rights over the plot and offered to furnish the relevant land records and judgments. He also noted that the college campus hosts approximately 74 small commercial units under the association’s supervision.
The manager recounted a prior incident on September 19, 2026, when an unknown group attempted to break the boundary of the school’s agricultural land. Police intervened, preventing a full takeover but leaving the wall badly damaged.
Following the latest clash, the school administration has appealed to the district magistrate for the damaged boundary to be rebuilt under police protection and for FIRs to be lodged against those suspected of attempting an illegal occupation.
