A stolen SBI ATM has raised security concerns in Devghar after it was ripped from its base using a gas cutter. The thieves moved the heavy machine about 500 metres before placing it in a car that was already waiting at the site. The theft was discovered late Monday night, and the bank’s Patna office was alerted at about 3 a.m. on Tuesday. Officers have secured the area, collected CCTV evidence and are interviewing early‑morning walkers for any sightings of suspicious activity. The police suspect the criminals intend to open the ATM in a secure location to retrieve whatever cash remains inside.
