Police Reveal Gun Jam Likely Prevented Fatal Shot on Tiger Shroff

Mumbai police disclosed that a critical weapon malfunction may have saved actor Tiger Shroff’s life during the October 18 shooting in Juhu. The incident involved two unknown shooters who targeted Shroff’s car with a copy pistol, firing seven rounds at the windshield and side glass. While the driver and a bystander were injured, Shroff’s quick forward lean prevented a bullet from striking his torso.

According to sources, after the fifth round a shooter moved close to the passenger side and attempted a close‑range shot. The pistol, however, jammed, and the attacker could not fire the subsequent two attempts. This failure is believed to have averted a potentially lethal injury. The attackers fled on a motorcycle, later dividing their path near Andheri railway station.

The police have filed a case against three unidentified suspects and are actively pursuing leads on their escape routes and any possible planning behind the assault. The forensic report confirmed the use of locally assembled copy pistols, emphasising the dangers of unregulated firearms in the city.
