Police Detain Boyfriend After Female Guest Hung in Hotel Room

After hotel staff reported suspicious activity, Kolkata police forced entry into a guest room and found the corpse of a 38‑year‑old woman hanging from a ceiling fan. The victim, a resident of Patuli Shibatal, had been staying with a young man who vanished on July 18. Repeated calls to the missing individual went unanswered, prompting staff to alert authorities. The investigation led to the arrest of the boyfriend on charges of abetment and possible homicide.
