Police Bust Couple Behind Million‑Rupee Heist in Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh police successfully cracked a multi‑million‑rupee theft that shocked the town of Gonda. The investigation revealed that the alleged intruders were, in fact, the homeowner’s wife and her boyfriend. After luring the lover to the residence at night, the pair opened locked compartments, rummaged through valuables, and deliberately disordered the interior to simulate a break‑in. In the early hours they staged a scene of the wife lying unconscious. The next day she reported a violent robbery that never occurred. Detailed questioning forced a confession, and law enforcement recovered two mobile phones, cash amounting to 50,000 rupees, and a cache of jewellery.
