Police Appeal for Peaceful Vacating of Jantar Mantar Site

Following the hospitalisation of activist Sonam Wangchuk, Delhi police issued a public appeal to the remaining demonstrators at Jantar Mantar. In an X post, officials urged all protestors to leave the area in a peaceful manner as soon as possible.

The statement highlighted that the police are committed to upholding the High Court’s orders while also ensuring the safety of the public and the demonstrators themselves. Police representatives noted that a few individuals tried to create minor unrest during the evacuation, but officers responded with restraint and completed the operation without violence.

Authorities stressed that cooperation from the protestors would help avoid any further legal complications and enable a swift return to normalcy at the iconic public space.
