The 139th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat has drawn praise from BJP leaders across multiple states, who say the broadcast carries a strong message on self-reliance, indigenous products and healthy living.

Leaders from Bihar, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Delhi welcomed the episode, saying the Prime Minister uses the programme to showcase the country's heritage, culture, agriculture, swadeshi products and the inspiring work of ordinary citizens. They said the show motivates people to become self-reliant, promote local products and contribute to societal development.

Bihar minister Vijay Kumar Sinha said Mann Ki Baat connects citizens with the nation's heritage and with the stories of dedicated individuals who inspire society. He pointed out that the Prime Minister talks about promoting Shri Anna, or millets, staying close to nature and adopting a healthy lifestyle.

Sinha said the Prime Minister's message reaches every citizen and both encourages and inspires them. He added that people eagerly await the programme every month. Sinha said it draws attention to nature, agriculture and culture, and creates a sense of pride among every Indian.

Speaking in Pune, Union Minister of State Murlidhar Mohol said the Prime Minister's monthly interaction with citizens always brings something fresh and meaningful. He said the episode carried messages on building a self-reliant India, promoting vocal for local, raising awareness about organ donation and encouraging millet cultivation.

Mohol said the Prime Minister's dialogue links citizens to several crucial social and economic issues. He noted that it inspires people to start new initiatives and play a role in national progress.

In Jaipur, BJP state in-charge Sanjay Bhatia highlighted the Vocal for Local and Make in India campaigns. He said Prime Minister Modi has consistently pushed for swadeshi products and domestic manufacturing since taking charge. Bhatia said India is now enhancing its defence capabilities and has become able to export arms to countries from which it once imported defence equipment. He called this an example of the country's rising self-reliance.

Former Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said the Prime Minister himself described Mann Ki Baat as a celebration of collective public power. Sachdeva said the programme offers citizens information on new subjects and a chance to build deeper understanding. He added that the experiences shared from India and abroad provide positive lessons. Referring to the e-Sanjeevani initiative mentioned in the episode, he said it is helping deliver health services to remote areas such as the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Ladakh and Lakshadweep.

Bihar BJP state president Sanjay Sarawgi said the programme was heard not only across the country but also in other countries. He described it as inspirational and said it encourages people to take new steps and learn from the experiences of others.

Sarawgi said the Prime Minister discussed in depth the efforts being made to make India self-reliant. He cited women weavers in Punjab who are becoming self-sufficient through handloom and makhana producers in Mithila and Bihar who are reaching foreign markets through better packaging.

He said the Prime Minister also spoke about millets, cleanliness and the upcoming Valmiki Jayanti. Festival greetings were extended and Nishad Raj was mentioned during the episode.

BJP leaders agreed that Mann Ki Baat is an important medium for strengthening the cultural heritage of the country, encouraging local products and giving recognition to the efforts of common people. According to them, the programme inspires the building of a self-reliant India and brings positive change in society.
