Plan Space 2.0 to geo‑tag and monitor 2,000 projects in real time

Kerala’s upcoming Plan Space 2.0 will serve as a GIS‑enabled project registry, geo‑tagging every large‑scale initiative approved by the state’s departments. The system will provide real‑time visibility into project status, helping to eliminate procedural delays.

The first phase will bring approximately 2,000 projects under surveillance, with each entry linked to a digital map. This transparent approach is intended to cut the financial losses incurred from stalled works and to speed up resource allocation.

A high‑level committee comprising secretaries from various ministries will ensure consistent implementation across all sectors, synchronising the new platform with the Special Asset Management Portal for holistic governance.
