Preliminary reports suggest that the hijack signal that diverted the Frankfurt‑Delhi flight may have been the result of a mis‑pressed transponder button by the cockpit crew.
While early speculation pointed to a possible technical glitch, investigators later focused on pilot interaction with the emergency alert system. The pilot, however, has reportedly refused to confirm any inadvertent button press.
Regardless of the cause, standard protocol required the aircraft to be isolated, passengers deplaned, and a coordinated response by anti‑terror squads, CISF, and local police before any further action could be taken.
