PB Agro’s Attempt to Challenge FDA Notice Rejected by Delhi Bench

PB Agro approached the Delhi High Court seeking a stay on the Maharashtra FDA’s show‑cause notices served to the film personalities linked with its Vimal Pan Masala range. The company argued that the alleged indirect promotion of its product through the actors violated advertising norms.

The court, however, found that the petition lacked substantive evidence that any portion of the case arose in Delhi. Moreover, the firm had not been formally notified, making its claim of irreparable damage speculative.

Consequently, the Delhi High Court dismissed the petition, leaving the Maharashtra FDA’s notices intact and directing the company to pursue any further relief in the Bombay High Court.
