Video of Patiyali BDO Threatening Staff Sparks FIR in Kasganj

Lucknow, October 24

A case has been registered against a Block Development Officer in Kasganj district of Uttar Pradesh after a video showing him threatening a subordinate and demanding illegal recovery went viral. The video shows the official openly misusing his authority within his own office.

The incident has come from the Patiyali block. BDO Sanjeev Kumar is seen in the footage sitting at his desk and scolding an employee in a harsh manner.

While the video is circulating widely, the official is heard saying, “Give the full amount, note it down, and don't play leader.” The footage also captures him using abusive words and warning the employee that he would be sent to jail.

District Development Officer (DDO) Subhash Chandra has called the conduct a violation of official duties and a clear example of corruption. On his complaint, Patiyali Kotwali police filed an FIR against Sanjeev Kumar under relevant serious charges.

The administration has responded strictly to the case. A fair investigation has been assigned to Circle Officer Patiyali Amit Kumar.

All eyes are now on the next steps in the case. The viral video and the FIR have made the matter the most discussed topic in Patiyali and throughout Kasganj.
