A woman seeking an eye check‑up at a multi‑specialist clinic in Kurla West, Mumbai, alleges that the attending doctor, Dr. Partho Pranay Bakhshi, crossed professional boundaries. According to her statement, after a brief greeting the doctor began making lewd comments and, under the pretext of examination, touched her inappropriately. The victim left the premises immediately, confided in her family, and lodged a formal complaint with Vinoba Bhave Nagar police. The police acted swiftly, registering a case under Section 74 of the IPC and taking the doctor into custody. Investigators noted that while other clinic staff were on site, the doctor isolated the patient in a separate room before committing the alleged offence.
