Patel Calls Congress ‘Resort Politics’ After BJP Sweeps 27 Urban Bodies

Jaipur, September 19 – Speaking to the press, Rajasthan’s law minister Jogaran Patel dismissed the Congress’s claims of misconduct as “resort politics” following the BJP’s clean sweep of 27 municipal corporations and councils. He argued that the party’s continued unity and disciplined cadre base have earned it the electorate’s confidence.

Patel cited historical records, noting how frequently the Congress has broken apart in both state assemblies and the Lok Sabha, whereas the BJP has never experienced a split. He warned that internal quarrels and desperation are driving the opposition’s narrative, describing it as a pre‑planned conspiracy to undermine the BJP’s achievements.

The minister highlighted the BJP’s impressive figures: 45 elected members in Jodhpur, about 80 in Jaipur, and an uncontested win in two municipal corporations, six councils and a total of 30 urban bodies. He credited Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s simple, development‑focused approach for winning voter hearts, and promised that the party’s ongoing training programmes will keep its workforce ready for future challenges.
