Passengers Advised to Rebook After Rail Cancellations Linked to CJP Demo

New Delhi – A day before a large‑scale CJP demonstration, Indian Railways announced a series of cancellations and timetable changes for services bound for New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin on October 10. The decision follows a risk assessment that predicted severe traffic snarls around the two stations.

The DRM of Dhanapur posted an X notice saying that any mail or express service scheduled to depart its origin after 2 PM on 9 Oct and expected to reach the capital between 4 AM and 2 PM on 10 Oct will be halted at the originating station. Travelers are urged to refer to the Railwire or NTES apps for the latest status.

The following four trains from the Dhanapur division were cancelled: - 20801 Magadh Express (Islamport) – originally set for a 15:30 departure on 9 Oct, arrival at 12:00 on 10 Oct. - 12309 Rajendra Nagar‑Delhi Tejas Rajdhani – slated for 19:10 departure, arrival at 07:40 the next morning. - 12393 Samagra Kranti Express – 19:20 departure, arrival at 07:55. - 22361 Amrit Bharat Express – 19:50 departure, arrival at 13:10.

West Central Railway (Bhopal) also cancelled train 22221 Mumbai‑Hazrat Nizamuddin Capital Express directly from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus on 9 Oct.

Eastern Railway confirmed the cancellation of Howrah‑New Delhi Rajdhani (train 12301) and Siarat‑New Delhi Rajdhani (train 12313) for the same day.

The railway administration expressed regret for the inconvenience and appealed to passengers to re‑plan journeys and keep checking official notifications.
