Party Workers Join Hands for Swachh Campaign at Martyrs' Memorials Across Delhi

During the Independence Day week, BJP cadres rolled out a coordinated Swachh campaign at several memorials across Delhi. Leaders from different constituencies, including MLA Shikha Roy of Greater Kailash, gathered at the Subhash Chandra Bose statue in CR Park to take an oath to maintain regular cleanliness.

Roy laid a wreath at the statue and declared the day, August 9, a moment of honour for the nationalist leader. Similar activities took place at the Shaheed Mahesh Chand Sharma monument in Khajuri Chowk, where MLA Ajay Mahavar, BJP vice‑president Ranjit Kashyap and local volunteers cleaned the site before offering floral tribute.

At the Shaheed Major Asharam Tyagi memorial in Maujpur Chowk, party vice‑president Vinod Bacheti, MLA Jitendra Mahajan and district heads led the effort, reinforcing the message that remembering martyrs includes caring for their monuments.

Each event concluded with a flower‑laying ceremony, and participants voiced pride in serving the nation’s history while encouraging citizens to keep public spaces pristine.
