On India’s 75th Independence Day, the BJP's flag‑raising at Jaipur's Badi Chaupar was interrupted by an audio glitch. The planned Vande Matram anthem was replaced with an incorrect version, causing discomfort among dignitaries.

Senior lawmakers, including MP Manju Sharma, noted the irregularity, and the incident was quickly captured on smartphones. The clip gained traction on social platforms within hours.

Addressing the press, Madan Rathore accepted the moral responsibility attached to his position. He labelled the mishap a technical slip and assured that stricter procedural safeguards would be instituted for all future national ceremonies.
