Parliamentarians join Jantar Mantar protest answer on NEET leak

On July 20, a group of Samajwadi Party MPs arrived at Jantar Mantar to stand alongside students demanding clarity on the NEET paper leak. Led by Dimpal Yadav, the legislators pointed to the government’s failure to safeguard the integrity of the examination process.

The lawmakers condemned what they termed “irresponsible handling” of the NEET exams, urging the central authorities to launch a transparent inquiry and hold the Education Minister accountable for the debacle.

The protest also featured activist Sonam Wangchuk, whose 20‑day hunger strike was abruptly halted by police intervention. Several student volunteers reaffirmed their commitment to the fast, seeking answers from top officials.

In media briefings, SP MPs criticized the administration for refusing to listen to the concerns of the nation’s youth, describing the stance as “harsh and detached.” They warned that continued neglect would deepen the mental strain on students nationwide.
