Pargat Singh Accuses Home Minister of Politicising Punjab Tour

Punjab Congress President Parag Singh joined other party leaders in denouncing the Home Minister’s visit as a political circus. Singh argued that a minister whose primary duty is internal security should not use a state’s crisis as a platform for personal gain.

He questioned whether Shah truly understands the gravity of the drug menace and the frequent attacks on police forces along the Indo‑Pak border. “If the minister is unaware, he has no right to hold this portfolio; if he is aware, it raises concerns about intentional neglect,” Singh asserted.

The leader reminded listeners that Punjabis have historically borne the greatest sacrifices for the nation, citing the region’s spiritual teachings of Guru and Mata. He appealed for love and cooperation, warning that any heavy‑handed approach would alienate the people.
