Parents Block School Entrance After Claims of Student Body Search
After news spread that girls in classes nine, ten and eleven at Livali school were stripped as part of a search for missing money, a large group of parents and local residents converged on the school premises on July 14. They locked the main gate and demanded immediate accountability.
The gathering turned hostile when several mothers recounted how their daughters were made to stand naked while officials examined them. The agitation forced the district education officials to intervene, prompting the CBO to interview the victims on site and relay the information to higher authorities.
The joint director of the Bharatpur education circle responded by suspending the accused teacher, Sarwati Meena, and removing vocational instructor Vanda Sharma from service while the departmental inquiry proceeds.
