Pakistan‑linked social media posts debunked by Indian defence

The army’s fact‑check unit identified the misinformation as part of a coordinated effort originating from Pakistan‑supported platforms. Earlier, a fake document circulated claiming that Lieutenant General Balbir Singh of the 15th Corps had been dismissed and summoned to headquarters. The defence ministry confirmed the document was forged and that no such orders were issued. Analysts say the strategy is to create an illusion of internal rifts within India’s military leadership.
