How Outsourced Agencies Manipulated Jharkhand’s JPSC Results Through Tech

Ranchi – The CID’s special investigation team has exposed how outsourced exam agencies engineered a fraud that altered the outcome of Jharkhand’s JPSC and JSSC competitive exams. Employees of the vendor "TSR Data Processing Private Limited" admitted that a software tool, designed with Picker Technology Private Limited, was deployed to intercept the examination workflow.

The application automatically identified candidates earmarked for preferential treatment and swapped their answer data in the central repository before results were finalized. Once the examination concluded, strong‑room officials removed the blank answer booklets of the chosen candidates and handed them over to senior directors of the processing firm.

These directors, named as Ramveer Singh, Satyapal Singh, Pradeep Kumar Singh and Mohammad Usmani, transported the scripts to a network of hotels and rented flats where experts from Punjab, Haryana and Lucknow assisted the candidates in completing the answer sheets. After completion, the scripts were secretly re‑inserted into the strong room, completing the deception.

Financial records show that the mastermind, identified as Abhay Tiwari, paid approximately 40 million rupees to secure the illicit services, including the hiring of academic officials to artificially raise scores.
