The Western Air Command concluded its September 14 seminar with a set of concrete recommendations aimed at bettering the lives of its airmen and their families. Attendees, consisting of Station Master Warrant Officers from diverse locations, agreed on a roadmap that includes regular welfare briefings, streamlined grievance mechanisms, and enhanced recreational facilities at stations.

Air Marshal George Thomas praised the collaborative spirit of the meeting and pledged continued support for the proposed measures. Defence scholars noted that such initiatives strengthen the bond between service members and the institution, thereby improving overall mission effectiveness.

The event also coincided with the launch of Droneathon‑2026 at Pokhran, where defence manufacturers displayed autonomous aerial platforms in live‑fire scenarios.
