Opposition leader R. Gandhi alleges pattern of negligence and scapegoating after Delhi accident

Rahul Gandhi used his platform in the lower house to denounce what he described as a persistent “shameful pattern” of the BJP government. He argued that before disasters like the Satya Niketan building collapse, there is no preventive action; after the tragedy, the response is limited to statements and shifting responsibility to minor officials. Gandhi recalled recent incidents – six deaths in Saifulajab and a 22‑person fatal fire in Hauz Rani – emphasizing that each loss of life is met with inadequate follow‑up. He also took aim at the Prime Minister, alleging that the leader resorts to personal insults such as “mental Naxal” to deter questioning, thereby protecting the administration from real accountability.
