Opposition accused of politicising student issues amid NEET controversy

The NEET paper leak controversy has become a flashpoint for political maneuvering, according to several BJP parliamentarians. Manan Kumar Mishra argued that the opposition’s primary aim is to turn the genuine concerns of students into a partisan campaign rather than seeking a solution through the House.

He claimed that the government is ready to address the matter, but the opposition keeps colouring the issue with political rhetoric. Praveen Khandelwal added that the opposition lacks a solid agenda and seems determined to stall parliamentary business.

Satish Poonia reminded that freedom of expression is not absolute and must be balanced with national interests. He warned that unchecked street protests could undermine democratic institutions.

The ministers also noted that the Speaker will decide the timing and format of any debate on the NEET leak, ensuring that discussions remain within the procedural framework of Parliament.
