Operation Sindoor aftermath: Pakistani duo detained for falsifying Indian IDs
In the wake of Operation Sindoor, Karnataka authorities arrested a Pakistani citizen, Farha Naj, and her son Mohammed Fardin Khan for allegedly obtaining Indian identification documents without legal status. The arrests took place in the Bagapalli subdivision of Chickballapur district, where the pair resided in the village of Dasgarepalli.
The suspects are accused of using forged paperwork to secure Aadhaar numbers, voter IDs, ration cards and bank accounts, despite their visas having expired. Police reports indicate that the mother married local resident Ayub Khan, yet the family continued to stay in India without renewal of their immigration papers.
The investigation is ongoing, with officials scrutinising the channels through which the fraudulent IDs were issued. The case underscores the broader security concerns that prompted Operation Sindoor, a crackdown on illegal immigration and identity theft across the state.
