Operation Sadbhavana brings reliable water supply to 35 families

Through Operation Sadbhavana, the Indian Army’s Red Shield Division delivered a 10,000‑litre water storage unit to Leimakhong, Manipur, on 16 October. The addition serves about 35 families, enabling them to store water for the dry season when the river’s flow diminishes. Previously, the lack of adequate storage forced villagers to depend on continuous water flow and to travel long distances for water during droughts. The new storage solution ensures a more reliable water source, reducing hardship and supporting the community’s daily needs.
