Operation Eastern Reach Cracks International Gang Network

Operation Eastern Reach, the flagship initiative of Punjab’s Gangster War campaign, entered its 235th day with a series of coordinated raids across the state. Over 600 locations linked to gang networks were raided, resulting in the seizure of four firearms and the arrest of 261 individuals on September 11. Since the campaign began on January 20, cumulative arrests have risen to 69,703, with 236 precautionary actions taken against suspected affiliates. The operation, driven by real‑time intelligence and the joint effort of district police forces and AGTF, demonstrates the state's resolve to dismantle organized crime syndicates that operate beyond Indian borders.
