Online DPC Process Drives Transparent Promotions in UP Revenue Department
The Uttar Pradesh Revenue Council Board has completed its inaugural online Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) exercise for the 2025-26 cycle, resulting in the elevation of 455 clerks to Revenue Inspector status. The digital platform, mandated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, ensured that all assessments were conducted in a transparent, auditable manner.
Eligibility norms and personnel records were uploaded to a secure portal, where a systematic evaluation identified the eligible candidates. The online format eliminated the traditional bottlenecks of paper‑based processing, allowing the board to issue promotion decisions within a compressed timeline.
These newly appointed inspectors will be assigned across tehsils, strengthening the supervisory chain for land‑related activities. Officials anticipate that the infusion of qualified personnel will accelerate the clearance of land disputes, improve the maintenance of revenue registers, and deliver more accountable services to the public.
